Michelle was born and raised in Riverside, California. Her interest in nursing began in 1998 at Riverside Community Hospital where she volunteered her free time as a “candy striper”. She graduated from Loma Linda University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005 and began her nursing career at St. Bernardine Medical Center in the Critical Care Unit, mostly focusing on cardiac surgery. She also spent some time in the Intensive Care Unit at Parkview Community Hospital, as well as in the Emergency Department and Definitive Observation Unit. She graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013. She is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Michelle has a special interest in health care education and teaches Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing for a Bachelor of Science Nursing program at West Coast University in Ontario.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and Labrador retriever, as well as gardening and playing the piano.
